If you lose your smartphone or laptop, or worse, it's stolen, how long does it take before panic sets in?  

There were a lot of people panicking last year.  We checked and found more than 5,000 reported thefts of personal electronic devices in Minneapolis and the largest suburbs.

Online Washington County property records will become more accessible next month.

Peterson Companies to Landscape Broadway Avenue

Plans are in place to landscape along Broadway Avenue after the road project is complete.

Peterson Companies was hired to do the landscaping work after the Washington County Board of Commissioners approved an $85,046 contract Tuesday.  

The landscape will be on Broadway Avenue from 850 feet west of I-35 to 270 feet west of Highway 61.

Columbus Canine Carnival Celebrates 'Dog Days of June'

Community members can celebrate both wild and domestic dogs at the Wildlife Science Center’s Canine Carnival.

The “Dog Days of June” event includes presentations, dog demos, pet product vendors, and information from dog rescue groups.

The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 2. It costs $6 for adults and $4 for students.

3,500 Local Hospital Workers Vote to Strike

About 3,500 members of the Service Employees International Union Healthcare Minnesota voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to strike.  After two days of voting, 91 percent supported the strike option.

If the union calls a 2-5 day strike it would affect:

-Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina
-Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis
